Day 2+3 - Disneyland, Anaheim

This will be the first of a series of insane updates. Again, you could and probably should blame me, so I promise to feel adequately chastised if and when you do. -blush- Incidentally, Happy New Year y'all, and may the Good Lord watch over you and grant you much happy tidings for 2008.

Disneyland itself was pretty amazing - my initial skepticism thawed as we explored and walked about it, and I had to concede it was pretty fun indeed. Space Mountain was particularly enjoyable (way beating the Mummy Ride from Uni Studios), but I also had much fun at Splash Mountain, Jungle Cruises and the Peter Pan ride. I don't know if I can say I felt like a child again, but for 2 days I was lost in a cornucopia of kiddish fun, and every moment was beautiful and lovely. :) Even the rain on the 1st day didn't dampen our spirits one bit.

California Adventure Park, on the other hand, was a little confused for its own good. It was neither here nor there, I didn't particularly enjoy anything in it and the rides were too scary for me. Yes, I be a coward - so I be very thankful my girlfriend loves me anyway. :D

That said, here are some photos from the trip:

Us and Minnie Mouse - Mickey never stopped for a photo with us. :(

The castle that greets you as you hit Disneyland Centre Circle - amazing.

Just had to take right. :p Outside the Peter Pan boat ride which takes you in a flying boat over the Peter Pan sets - pretty amazing.

The "It's A Small World" attraction, a bit freaky and claustrophobic, but it was a nice boat ride. Mostly.

Toontown! Pretty cool fake skyscape. :)

Our First Car!

I got thrown in the Dog Pound after quarrelling. :'-(

Splash Mountain - I enjoyed this one to my own surprise.

The amazing light up at night - a pity we couldn't stay for the fireworks.

My girlfriend enjoying pancakes at IHOP - droolworthy and fluffy, these pancakes rock. Seriously rock.

It would appear that my initial skepticism was well founded. Ha!

Another view inside California Adventure Park.

With memories to last us a lifetime - Disneyland. Will be back someday I think. :)
